The national tree of El Salvador and Costa Rica, the Parota provides shade for coffee plantations and multiple other locales. A huge tree when fully grown, its large trunk offers wood pieces of large dimensions, which can provide larger, unseamed furniture. The wood is a rich golden-brown in color with lovely fine grain and durable strength. Some of the pieces in this collection add a touch of mango wood for slight contrast.
