The aspen logs are hand picked and peeled and so no two pieces are identical. The natural look of the wood is kept by using a low sheen catalyzed lacquer finish. Each bunk bed will be similar, but is as unique and the materials that are used to build it. Our bunk beds are equipped with a built in ladder on the footboard to provide easy access to the top. The design of our aspen log bunk beds complies with federal safety standards. It is important that the thickness of the mattress and foundation combined that you use on our bunk beds do not exceed 12 inches. By doing so, it will secure the safety of those sleeping on the top bunk and will allow for plenty of room between the top of the mattress and the top of the guard rails. As a foundation, we recommend using a Bunkie board that you are able to find at your local mattress retailer. Made in the USA.
