Silverado is the creation of Sylvia Ortiz Spence who began her career as a weaver for the Ortega Rug Weavers of Chimayo, New Mexico. She took some of the skills gained there and added her eye for style and color to begin Silverado Home. One of the nicest parts of this line is that is constructed and sewn in the United States of America.
Silverado Home seems a bit different than other manufacturers in that there is a wide selection of styles and themes. She didn’t limit herself to a western, southwest, traditional or Native style but incorporated textures colors and embellishments to make each set stand out on its own. Each bedset has an appeal for a variety of individual taste. You can purchase a duvet by itself, go for the smaller fusion set with gorgeous colors or add numerous pillows, runners and throws for an “I want it all” approach.
Silverado isn’t limited to the bedroom. The tabletop arrangements take some of the fabrics and textures from the bed ensembles and coordinate them into a table top masterpiece. Stones, metal, and other adornments make the napkin rings into pieces of art which when combined with placemats and napkins allow the table to stand alone.
