Made of steel, Steel Partner's "trademark" finish is a natural, rusted patina that has been sealed in a 5-step process. Some pieces have smooth, mellow tones of a darker leather look and others have lighter rusted hues. The rusting process is a natural process and therefore each piece may vary in light and dark tones.  Inconsistencies contribute to the natural beauty and unique quality of the product. Since the rusting process is a natural process, Steel Partners has no control over how light or dark the end results are.
